— POSI Partners with Sterling Media House to Turn Business Growth into School Safety
Protecting Our Students, Inc. (POSI) has launched a new standing partnership with Sterling Media House (SMH), a web and marketing firm serving local service businesses, that turns everyday commerce into a direct source of funding for school safety.
Here’s how it works: when a business owner hires Sterling Media House to build a new website or optimize their current one, SMH donates $250 to POSI on their behalf. That gift goes directly toward partial cost of a school safety assessment for a local K-12 school — delivered through POSI’s SafeSchool REPORT℠, built on the 4-Level Safety Standard℠ and the 94-Point Safety Zones℠.
It’s a simple exchange, and a deliberate one: business owners are increasingly choosing Sterling Media House because they know exactly where part of their investment is going — toward giving a local school an independent, standardized look at where it stands on safety, something most schools have never had access to.
“Business owners are choosing Sterling Media House because they know what it supports,” said Robert Jordan, founder of POSI. “They’re not funding a full assessment on their own — but every one of these donations moves a school closer to getting one. That’s a real, measurable contribution toward a national standard, not a generic checklist. It’s the kind of growing, compounding impact we built POSI to create.”
Why It Matters
The U.S. spends billions of dollars a year on school safety, yet no shared, comparable standard exists to measure it. Every school follows its own checklist. Parents, teachers, and administrators have no consistent way to track progress or compare one school’s safety posture to another’s.
POSI built the first national framework to close that gap — a structure that makes safety measurable, trackable, and comparable across all three dimensions that matter: physical, procedural, and cultural.
Each fully funded assessment includes:
- A full 94-Point Safety Zones℠ evaluation across a school’s physical, procedural, and human safety dimensions.
- A Dynamic Safety Score℠ — a private-by-default, confidential score that gives school leaders a clear, real-time picture of where they stand.
- A SafeSchool REPORT℠ — a prioritized roadmap for improvement, delivered to the school at no cost.
A Model Built to Scale
What makes this partnership different from a one-time donation is that it’s designed to repeat. Every website Sterling Media House builds and optimizes adds another $250 toward the next school assessment — and business owners are choosing SMH in part because they know it. Supporting a local school isn’t a hidden side effect of hiring SMH; for a growing number of clients, it’s the reason.
For POSI, the partnership adds a new, recurring channel of support alongside foundation grants and individual donors — one rooted in ordinary, everyday transactions rather than one-time gifts.
