Your Sales Mission

"You are the solution they've been searching for."

You are an entrepreneur. A start-up founder. Your mission, as start-up, is to solve a problem. Out there, 33 million small businesses need one thing: more revenue. More jobs. Booked appointments. Scheduled calls. You solve that problem.

  1. 1Identify the invisible website issues costing them customers.
  2. 2Communicate the fix in a way they can't ignore.
  3. 3Increase their revenue, and become irreplaceable.
You're not selling websites. You're selling increased revenue, more profit, and more money in the business owner's pocket. Their website must increase revenue. It's a lead-generating, appointment-booking machine. And you're the one who delivers it.

The Homepage Structure

Sales Rep Cheat Sheet — this is what you check a prospect's site against

Every section below either moves a visitor to "contact us" — or loses them. If a section is missing, that's a gap. Every gap sells one of our products.
1

Sticky Header

  • Logo (left)
  • Nav: About – Services – Reviews – Contact
  • Click-to-call phone, always visible (top-right)
  • "Book Now" button — sticky on scroll, mobile especially
2

Hero Section

  • Above the fold — closes or loses the visitor in 3 seconds
  • One-sentence value prop (what + who + outcome)
  • Business video (autoplay muted)
  • Primary CTA: "Book an Appointment" / "Get a Free Quote"
  • Secondary CTA: tap-to-call phone number
  • Trust row: star rating + review count + licensed/insured
SELLS: VIDEO ENGINE
3

Social Proof Bar

  • 5-star review carousel (2–3 real reviews, photo if possible)
  • Logos: "as seen on," licensing bodies, BBB, Google Guaranteed
SELLS: REPUTATION ENGINE
4

Services Overview

  • 3–6 service cards: icon, short description, "Learn More"
  • Each card links to a service page or opens a quote form
5

Why Choose Us

  • 3–4 short trust points: fast response, guarantee, local, certified
6

Live Demo — Voice AI

  • "Try our AI receptionist" widget or demo number
  • Rare differentiator — worth its own section, not buried
SELLS: FRONT DESK AI
7

Reputation / Testimonials

  • Expanded reviews, live Google review widget
  • Before/after photos if applicable to the trade
SELLS: REPUTATION ENGINE
8

Appointment / Lead Capture

  • Embedded calendar or short form: name, phone, service needed
  • Urgency line: "Response within 1 hour"
SELLS: CONVERSION ENGINE
9

Service Area Map

  • Builds local trust, helps local SEO
SELLS: VISIBILITY ENGINE
10

Footer

  • Name, address, phone (NAP) for SEO
  • Licenses, social links, secondary nav, privacy/terms
How to use this: Pull up a prospect's site and check it against these 10 sections, top to bottom. Whatever's missing or weak, that's the gap, and the tag under it tells you exactly what to pitch.

The 5-Second Website Check

Sales Rep Cheat Sheet — count the NOs, say the line, close

No math. No formulas. No products to memorize. Just answer YES or NO to 8 questions. Every NO is a selling point.
  1. 1Can I see a phone number without scrolling?Y / N
  2. 2Is there a video of the business/owner?Y / N
  3. 3Can I see real customer reviews on the page?Y / N
  4. 4On my phone, can I tap the number to call right now?Y / N
  5. 5Is there a "Book Now" / "Get a Quote" button I can click in 1 tap?Y / N
  6. 6If I called after hours, would anything text back or answer?Y / N
  7. 7Does their Google listing have reviews from the last month?Y / N
  8. 8Do they show licenses/guarantees/badges anywhere?Y / N
NOsWhat it meansHow you play it
0–2Site's in decent shapeLead with video, reputation/AI upsell
3–5Clear opportunityLead with the biggest gap
6–8Easy closeThey're losing customers daily
"Hey [Name], I took a look at your website. Real quick — [count] out of 8 things that bring in customers are missing. Big one: [worst NO]. That alone is probably costing you [X] jobs a month. We build all of this for you — done in [X] days, starting at [$price]. Want me to show you?"

That's the whole tool: Count NOs → Say the line → Point at the worst one → Ask the question.

Commission Guidelines

Sales Rep Cheat Sheet — what you earn, when, and how it's calculated

RoleUpfrontRecurring (monthly, while active)
Setter8%$0
Closer (with Setter)22%7% of monthly payment
Closer Only (Add-On Later)30%7% of monthly payment
Full-Cycle30%7% of monthly payment

The 5 Rules

  1. 1Paid on total upfront collected — deposit + setup fees + first month's payment.
  2. 2Recurring = 7% of monthly payment, paid monthly while client stays active AND Closer stays affiliated with SMH.
  3. 3Recurring goes to the Closer who closed the deal — including add-ons upsold later.
  4. 4Upgrades = recurring recalculated on the new total monthly payment.
  5. 5Rent-to-own transition fee ($199) = no commission, upfront or recurring.

4 Things People Get Wrong

  • ⚠ The $99 setup fee applies to EVERY add-on the client buys — not just the first one.
  • ⚠ Existing clients adding an add-on later still pay the $99 setup fee at that time.
  • ⚠ Recurring on an upsold add-on goes to whichever Closer upsold it — not necessarily the original Closer.
  • ⚠ Recurring is NOT paid indefinitely — it stops if the client cancels or the Closer leaves SMH.

Quick Example — Flagship Bundle (5-Page + Video), Full-Cycle (30%)

If Client OWNS It — $1,796 total
Deposit today: $898 | Balance on delivery: $898
Total upfront: $1,796
Your commission: $538.80 (one-time)
Recurring: $0/month — owned sites have no monthly fee.
If Client RENTS It — $299 setup + $249/mo
Setup today: $299 | First month: $249
Total upfront: $548
Your commission: $164.40 (one-time)
Recurring: $249/mo × 7% = $17.43/month, for as long as client & you stay active.

Closing with a Setter involved? Split the upfront: Setter gets 8% of total upfront, you (Closer) get 22%. Recurring 7% always stays with the Closer.

Bottom line: Bigger bundle + add-ons = bigger check today AND bigger recurring check every month. Never default down to save the prospect money — it costs you twice.
